Poway's master plan is to maintain nearly 70 percent of the city's 39.2 square miles as open space. This commitment is evidenced by the City's 2850 acres of dedicated open space of which 141 acres are developed parkland, including 5 fabulous neighborhood parks, spectacular nature preserves and 50 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails.

Single family residences comprise the majority of Poway's developed space, with commercial and light industrial areas being located almost exclusively along Poway Road and just to the south in the 2,400 acre South Poway Business Park.

Being apart of the Poway Unified School District, which is regarded as one of the best in the California school system, affords every child the best educational opportunities.

The Poway Performing Arts Center brings well known professional entertainers to town while also giving local groups, with members of all ages, the opportunity to perform in a top-notch facility.
